The BS in Business (Online) at Cairn University is built for today’s adult learner; flexible, career-focused, and rooted in God’s Word and in excellence. In addition to core curriculum requirements, there are 10 required business courses. Our business courses are delivered through our Flexible Learning Environment model, that empowers the student to take control of their education while balancing work, family, and other commitments. Courses are offered in two 7-week sessions each semester, with no rigid weekly deadlines and a more flexible structure. Whether you finish a course in just 1–2 weeks or take the full 7, you’ll master essential business proficiencies within the 7-week term, supported every step of the way by faculty facilitators who provide guidance and optional live sessions for open discussions.

All Cairn University students must have professed a faith in Jesus Christ as Savior as evidenced by providing a personal testimony that details this faith. By submitting an application, students acknowledge the University’s doctrinal position and standards of conduct as outlined in the Foundational Statements. Below are the admission requirements:

- Transcripts: Submit official academic transcript(s) for all conferred degrees. Request transcripts to be sent to Cairn through the application portal.

FAQs
How long does it take to finish the BS in Business (Online)?
The pace is flexible for business courses. Beyond the standard core curriculum requirements, business students have the option of finishing individual business classes quickly in 1–2 weeks, while others use the full 7 weeks. Most complete their full degree in 3–4 years depending on transfer credits and workload.
Are there weekly assignment deadlines?
No. While the classes are structured in 7 units, students are free to complete a business course as quickly as they’d prefer, provided all coursework is completed by the end of the 7-week session. You control your pace and schedule within that timeframe.
Please note that non-business courses, though offered in 7-week terms, have due dates throughout each week.
Will I have access to professors?
Yes. Each course has a faculty facilitator who acts as your point of contact, providing optional live Zoom interactions throughout the session so you don’t feel like you’re ‘going it alone’! Your work will be graded by the Cairn faculty and not TAs.
Is this program accredited?
Yes. Cairn University is fully accredited, ensuring your degree is recognized by employers and graduate schools.
Cairn University is regionally accredited by Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
Cairn Online has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), which regionally oversees postsecondary online education.
Can I transfer credits into the program?
