Biography

Mr. Danny Qian started his career in education after his time in the United States Marine Corps, immediately after he completed a tour of duty in Iraq, during Operation Iraqi Freedom III. He received his master’s degree in education after he returned to the US from Iraq.

His career in education began in California, where he taught secondary students as an education specialist in training. He then received his education specialist credential and taught in the Boston area at a non-public school with students who displayed dangerous behaviors toward themselves and/or others. It was at that school that Mr. Qian fell in love with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and began working with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and psychologists in treating the students and adults at that school. Shortly after, Danny obtained his BCBA certification and returned to California to work with adults and children with intense socially maladaptive behaviors and to help young children with autism gain skills and language repertoires needed to overcome their skills deficit(s).

Mr. Qian has over 15 years of experience in the field of education and 14 years in the field of special education. He is constantly pondering and meditating on the overlap of his discipline (ABA) and his faith in the risen Christ and how the two worldviews harmonize well in his perspective.
