Transferring to Cairn University
Your Complete Guide
Transfer to Cairn University

Getting Started
You had a vision for what your college experience would look like. But sometimes, there are circumstances outside of your control that force you to pivot. The King’s College was a great starting point, and Cairn University may be the perfect place to finish your degree.
Cairn University (located only 1.5 hours from New York City) is one of a select few transfer institutions approved to offer a transfer agreement for The King’s College students. We have worked with your professors and staff members to give you the smoothest transition to continuing your education at a University that shares your values.
We are currently working with The King’s College to make the transfer process as easy as possible. If you want to jump start the process, complete our online application. (We’ve already waived the application fee for you!)

Looking for Another Option?
If you’re looking to change direction, we have options for you as well. Cairn University has over 70 academic programs to choose from.
Financial Aid
There’s a lot of nitty gritty details that go into financial aid, but here’s the good news we can tell you for sure: Your net cost will not increase when you transfer to Cairn. Actually, it might even be more affordable for you to study at Cairn University. Your out-of-pocket cost may decrease.
In order for us to give you the best financial aid package possible, you will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the next academic year.

Spiritual Life
At Cairn University, we believe that Christ and His Word should be at the center of all that we do. We also believe that you don’t have to sacrifice academic excellence in order to study somewhere that will strengthen your faith.
The Bible is integrated into every academic program at Cairn. You’ll take courses in Bible and theology, and that theology will be applied in every other course you take—whether it be business, politics, or liberal arts. You will also grow outside of the classroom through weekly chapels, Bible studies, mission trips, service opportunities, and involvement in a local church.

Where We're Located
As a Cairn student, you have unlimited options for adventure. Our campus isn’t in the middle of NYC, but you’ll quickly find just how much there is to do from our suburban campus. In an hour’s time, you could be in the city, at the beach, or in the mountains. You can study in between classes at one of several local coffee roasters or by the lake at the park.
And when you do want to take advantage of city life, you can walk .2 miles off campus to the train station that will take you into Center City or connect you to New York Transit.
