From Wednesday, November 8th through Tuesday, November 28th
Psalm 118:1
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!
As we grow in thankfulness toward God for all he has and will do on our behalf, we also grow in our generosity to others. We thank our family more for their love for us. We thank our teachers for their input and guidance. We thank our friends for their presence in our lives. And we use what God has given us to bless others and those who have received a gift thank God for his provision. What an amazing cycle of Thanks+Giving! This is the season we step into now. May you be blessed and encouraged as you seek to increase your Thanks+Giving to those around you.

“I am grateful for studying in a Christian academic community. The emphasis on Scripture in my major-specific courses in addition to my Bible and theology courses has strengthened my faith.”

Jesse Stokes '23
"I am so thankful for Dr. Hurst because he would be going through his lesson and pause to say, ‘Hey, I want to talk to you guys about how to be a biblical man or woman.’ He always spoke to us as a father or a friend, and that has formed me spiritually."

Jesse Rivera '23
“I am thankful for the biblical integration found in every course I took at Cairn. That has shaped my worldview and trained both my mind and heart to prepare for a life of service through medicine”

Jack Peters ‘78
“Cairn, or PCB, as old folks like me like to call it, was indeed instrumental in my training, and professors like McCorkle, Cawood, Foracker, and Showers will always be remembered. These men taught me a lot and I am thankful for their lives and impact on me. Dr. Showers actually assisted me with a recommendation to my first church in Willow Grove.”

Jamie Johnstone ‘03
“I am so thankful for God directing me to a school and program where we had advisors who became friends, who poured their hearts and experience into us. This helped to equip me to live and share my love for Jesus in a business world”

Students
Geon Jung ‘25
“I am thankful for the Cairn Athletic program and how it has helped me to grow as an individual athlete and also to serve the guys next to me”

Esther Liu ‘26
“I am so grateful for Professor John Covone because he has always encouraged me to not give up easily”

Ellie Aungst ‘26
“One professor I am grateful for is Dr. Bryan Murawski. I took his Old Testament class and learned so much! He made learning fun, interesting and also helped students understand the historical, religious and cultural contexts that surround the Old Testament and the time period that it was written in.”

Dillan Smith ‘26
“I am grateful for Dr. Murawski because he encouraged me to get into a routine of reading my Bible every day.”
