Why Biology (BS)?

A Biology (BS) degree is the first step toward a variety of professional degrees dedicated to the study and application of biology. In addition to a variety of in-depth biology studies, the curriculum covers several math and science prerequisites needed for graduate-level research programs including general and organic chemistry, physics, calculus, and statistics.  Individuals with a BS degree in biology are hired for entry-level jobs in the sciences, including lab and research assistant roles, which is what many biologists do while pursuing further education.
