Biography

Dr. Reese is the chair and associate professor for the graduate program in counseling in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He has been working in the mental health field for 15 years. Much of his work has been in forensic settings including state and county correctional facilities, the state forensic psychiatric hospital, residential settings as well as working in private practice. He is a proud alum of the Cairn graduate program in counseling and holds a Doctor of Psychology. In addition to being board certified and licensed as a professional counselor, Dr. Reese is a board certified forensic mental health evaluator and a licensed minister. His area of interests lies in treatment to restore adjudicative competency, treatment of serious mental illness, and the application of Scripture in counseling those with serious mental illness and deviant behavior.
