Liz Evangelous

Liz is a full-time faculty member teaching elementary education courses in the School of Education. She has spent most of her professional career teaching in Christian, independent, and public school settings. She taught first grade at Calvary Christian Academy in Philadelphia, second grade at The Haverford School for boys, and was an elementary reading specialist in the Haverford School District. She most recently founded Raising Readers LLC, equipping families to support their child(ren)’s reading development by providing literacy coaching for parents and one-on-one student reading support. Liz is actively involved in her local church, Ardsley Bible Chapel, where she has served in children’s, women’s and outreach ministries. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children and can be found reading books with her kids, taking walks around their Ambler neighborhood, and traveling to Massachusetts to visit family.
