Teaching at Cairn since 2021
Jillian’s entire career has been based in the private special education field, specifically in the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade with various developmental disabilities or mental health diagnoses. She began with New Story Schools in 2011 as a classroom assistant, transitioned to the behavior analyst role as she completed ABA coursework and supervision, then moved on to her current position as Learning and Quality Manager. Jillian has the pleasure of working with school leaders to equip employees to provide high quality behavioral and educational services to the students in their care. Teaching at Cairn allows Jillian to use her experience to teach the next generation of behavior analysts and offer the unique perspective of being a Christian in what can feel like a very secular field. In 2010, Jillian married a fellow Clark’s Summit University graduate (Stephen) and they have two children.
