Biography

A native of Taiwan, faculty member Anne Ku is an orchestral and chamber musician, as well as an established teacher in the Princeton area. A graduate of The Juilliard School, her goal in music is to inspire the next generation of classical musicians.

Ms. Ku has received numerous prizes and honors, including first prize in the South Orange Symphony Young Artists Competition, the Temple University Preparatory Concerto Competition, and the American Fine Arts Festival Bach Concerto Competition. She has soloed with many orchestras, including the National Repertory Orchestra under the baton of JoAnn Falletta, the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, the Temple University Orchestra, and the South Orange Symphony. An active chamber musician, Ms. Ku has participated in many prominent chamber music festivals, including the Perlman Music Program Chamber Music Workshop, Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival and the Taos School of Music. Ms. Ku also served as Assistant Concertmaster in the 2011 National Repertory Orchestra and played in the New York String Orchestra Seminar and the Aspen Festival Orchestra.

Ms. Ku currently has an established teaching studio in her hometown of Princeton, NJ. She serves on the faculty at Csehy School of Music. Ms. Ku holds both master’s and bachelor’s degrees from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Catherine Cho and Robert Mann.

Ms. Ku is currently playing on a 1906 Caressa and Francis violin, on generous loan from The Virtu Foundation.
