Veterans Day 5K

Cairn Athletics and RUN 12:1 Running Club invite the Cairn community and the surrounding community to participate in the sixth annual Veterans Day 5K. The event features a 5K paved trail race through the rolling terrain of Tyler State Park, along with a 1-mile fun run/walk and virtual race option. The race honors those who have served our country while raising funds for scholarships for veterans and their family members pursuing an education at Cairn University.

Participants in the 5K can compete for overall, age group and veteran awards. All registrants will receive a custom Veterans Day 5K race shirt.

Race Location: Tyler State Park, Newtown, PA
Race Start: 9:30 am (check-in from 8:30–9:15)
Distance Options: 5K, 1-mile fun run/walk 
Registration: $35 general | $25 veterans and students

Candy Cane 5K

Celebrate the Christmas season with Cairn University, ChoiceOne, AlphaCare and RUN 12:1 Running Club at the annual Candy Cane 5K. The event features a 5K on paved roads throughout the Cairn campus and surrounding neighborhood, along with a family-friendly 1-mile fun run/walk and virtual option. Participants are encouraged to join in the Christmas spirit by wearing festive costumes, ugly sweaters or other holiday attire. Prizes are awarded to top 5K finishers as well as individuals and teams with standout costumes. All registrants receive a custom long-sleeve race shirt, candy canes, hot chocolate, cookies and other post-race refreshments.

Proceeds support Cairn’s New Horizon Scholarship Fund, which provides tuition scholarships and additional support to single mothers who choose to give birth and continue pursuing their undergraduate education.
