Keynote Speaker

Dr. Ayman S. Ibrahim, Director of Jenkins Center for Christian Understanding of Islam

Dr. Ayman Ibrahim serves as the Bill and Connie Jenkins Professor of Islamic Studies at Southern Seminary, and is the Director of the Jenkins Center for a Christian Understanding of Islam. Dr. Ibrahim was born and raised in Egypt, and has taught in various countries in both the Western and Muslim world. He is a current member of Clifton Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky.

He completed a B.A. at Ain Shams University, continued with an M.Div. at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and went on to earn two Ph.D. degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary and the University of Haifa.

Dr. Ibrahim’s work focuses on helping Christians understand Islam accurately and engage the Muslim world thoughtfully, faithfully, and with clarity. His scholarship and teaching equip churches, students, and missionaries to navigate theological differences, cultural contexts, and meaningful gospel conversations with wisdom and respect.

He is the author of numerous works on Islam and Christian–Muslim engagement, including A Medieval Case for Islam’s Superiority (Baylor University Press, 2025), Muhammad’s Military Expeditions (Oxford University Press, 2024), A Concise Guide to Islam (Baker Academic, 2023), Islam and the Bible (B&H, 2023), and Reaching Your Muslim Neighbor (Crossway, 2022). His writing equips Christians to understand Islamic belief and history and to engage the Muslim world.
