Study Abroad
Cairn University offers a number of international academic and service opportunities for students. These offerings are diverse, ranging from short-term missions trips to cross-cultural internships and study-abroad programs.
Undergraduate Study Abroad
Study abroad is a culturally and intellectually enriching experience, uniquely preparing students to serve Christ in the church, society, and the world. Through partnerships with BestSemester, GO-ED, Rome With Purpose, Veritas Christian Study Abroad, and Jerusalem University College, Cairn students have the opportunity to choose from over a dozen programs throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, North America, Latin America, and the Middle East. In recent semesters, students have studied in Australia, India, Uganda, Costa Rica, Jerusalem, and Oxford, England.
International Student Teaching & Internships
For students seeking global professional experiences, international student teaching and internships are strongly encouraged. For Education majors, Cairn’s partnership with CCTECC/STAGE opens doors to student teaching in over 130 international Christian schools. For other majors, international internships have been arranged with mission agencies, global churches, non-profit organizations, and for-profit businesses.
Global Service
Each year, the Cairn community participates in various short-term missions trips, partnering with missionaries and churches around the world. Opportunities for service include teaching English as a Second Language, sports clinics, medical clinics, construction, educational seminars and programs, and evangelism through music, teaching, and personal relationship.
