25th Annual Golf Classic Raises over $140,000 for The Cairn Fund

On Monday, September 28, 2020, friends of Cairn University assembled for the 25th annual Golf Classic fundraiser. Once again returning to the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Flourtown, PA, 160 participants took to the course for a day of golf and skills competitions to support the students, faculty, and facilities of the University.
The University Golf Classic traditionally takes place in the spring, but the COVID-19 pandemic postponed the event until it could be safely held in the fall. Following the protocols of the Philadelphia Cricket Club, several safety precautions were taken during the event. Tee times spread out throughout the day allowed for more social distancing between foursomes, meals were provided for all participants throughout the day, and the dinner reception was not held. What didn’t change, however, was the focus of this annual event. The event continued its yearly growth by generating over $140,000; proceeds of the outing support The Cairn Fund.
Special thanks to members of the Golf Committee and the advancement, athletics, and marketing departments for organizing and participating in the event, as well as to all of our many sponsors, attendees, and volunteers.
Save the date for next year! We will be back at the Philadelphia Cricket Club on May 10, 2021, for the 26th Cairn University Golf Classic. To reserve your sponsorship or foursome now, please contact Tammy Butler, vice president for philanthropy, at [email protected] or 215.702.4395.
