Allison Smith

Violinist Allison Smith finds her greatest inspiration in musical collaboration and in bringing music to audiences with limited access to the performing arts. Allison serves as Adjunct Violin and Viola Faculty at Cairn University and is a member of the strings faculty at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Southwest Philadelphia and Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School.

As a performer, Allison is the principal second violinist of the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra and a section violin member of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra and the New Jersey Chamber Orchestra. She also is a frequent substitute musician for several regional orchestras, including the Bay-Atlantic Symphony, Reading Symphony Orchestra, Symphony in C, and Lancaster Symphony, among others. Allison also enjoys frequent chamber music collaborations and opportunities to premiere and promote new compositions, including being a founding member of Ensemble Musica Deo and Vienna Serenade.
