Cairn University’s academic year kicked off Monday morning with the University’s traditional Convocation Chapel, a time when the entire University family gathers together to celebrate the new year and dedicate it to God’s glory.
Mr. Scott Cawood welcomed back returning students, and specially recognized incoming new students, including our first class in the First Year Programs. Dr. Brian Toews, Provost, prayed for the upcoming year followed by scripture reading from Colossians 3 by David Dager, Senate President. Dr. Todd J. Williams, University President, rose to welcome students and give the first message in his series for this coming year, Virtuous Community. Dr. Williams will continue to speak on this topic throughout the semester.
