Located in what used to be the lobby of the Masland Library, The Highlands functions as a community gathering space for students, faculty, and staff. The space, officially open for one week, has already proved to be a popular spot for students studying for their final exams.
Alongside of a full selection of Starbucks coffee and tea beverages, The Highlands also serves pastries and light lunch options for purchase or student meal exchanges.
Fundraising for this project began during Giving Tuesday 2017. Alumni and friends of the University generously donated last November to this project, which was completed just over one year later.
The Highlands is open for coffee and food service Monday–Friday from 7:30 am–8:30 pm.
