Hilary Orlando

    Hilary Orlando is the Organ instructor at Cairn University. She teaches organ and piano, is the Assistant Music Director/Accompanist of the Cairn Opera Theater, and is involved in various musical ensembles in the School of Music. Her primary teachers in organ have been Robert Carwithen, Chris Garven, and Matthew Lewis.

    Orlando has been a part of masterclasses with professional musicians such as Mme. Marie-Louise Langlais, Sophie Veronique Choplin, Joan Lippincott, Stefan Engels, Robert Carwithen, Mathew Lewis, Sam Hsu and Ken Borrmann.

    Orlando is active in both organ/piano as a recitalist, accompanist and church musician.  She has performed on pipe organs in America, Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland and was recently the organist for the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology where she collaborated with the Westminster Brass.  She regularly performs with various ensembles throughout NJ/PA.

    Hilary has held teaching positions at schools such as Philadelphia Christian Center in Bensalem, PA, North Branch Reformed Church Preschool in Bridgewater, NJ, Csehy Summer School of Music, and Cairn University.

    Orlando studied choral conducting under James Jordan, Alfred Lunde, and Joseph Miller, under whom she conducted the Westminster Mastersingers of Princeton, NJ.  Orlando was Music Director/Organist at Readington Reformed Church of NJ and for several years and had also directed music events at Langhorne Gardens in Langhorne, PA.

    Aside from her current responsibilities at Cairn, Hilary accompanies the Princeton Area Homeschool Choirs, is a substitute organist on Sundays and holds private organ and piano lessons.
