Biology (BA)

Build a multi-disciplined foundation to begin a career path toward teaching or writing about science.

Why Biology (BA)?

A Biology (BA) degree is a first step toward a number of careers related to the study of biology. This interdisciplinary program covers various scientific studies including biology, chemistry, and ecology while also providing a broad foundation in the liberal arts. Different than the Biology (BS) degree, the BA offer the flexibility to add minor studies through allotted elective space. After graduation, students can pursue an MS in Education program that offers teacher certification if they want to work in a K-12 classroom, or they can use their multi-disciplined skills to pursue a career as a science writer or editor.
