Men’s Cross Country Championship Run

MensXCWalkway
On Wednesday, November 5, 2014, Cairn faculty, staff, and students joined in a celebration on the walkway for the Men’s Cross Country team who won the University’s first ever Colonial States Athletics Conference Championship title. It was time for the entire University to gather together and recognize the athletes, celebrate the team’s success, and establish a tradition for future CSAC Championship teams.
In the afternoon, the University community formed two lines starting at the upper MAC entrance and extending down the walkway to form a cheering tunnel for the Men’s XC team to run through. After the run, the community gathered in the upper MAC lobby for a brief presentation and then into the Highlander Café for a reception with the team. Cross Country Head Coach Eric Bofinger, named Coach of the Year, introduced the Assistant Coach, Michael Caston, as well as each member of the team.
The four men to finish in 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th places were Eric MacIntire (28:11), Caleb Basile (28:49), Matthew Benedict (28:55), and Captain Matthew Basile (29:14).
