Biography

Tom Allen has been teaching Bible and theology at Cairn full-time for the past 30 years. By God’s grace it has been his privilege to invest in educating and training students to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus. In addition, Tom has helped serve with Cairn’s men’s basketball team as a chaplain/assistant coach for the past five years. Recently, Tom joined Cairn’s Global Outreach Committee and is excited to be part of advancing the gospel through equipping students to engage in getting the gospel to the world.

An alumnus of Cairn (’83), Tom and his wife, Tammy ’84, live in Langhorne and have three children: Jordan and Tara (Vecci) Allen ’15, Tim and Bethany (Allen) Caylor, Justin and Moriah (Allen) Deeter. They also have seven grandchildren, Peyton, Everett, Grady, and Aspen Caylor; Leighton and Titus Deeter; and Esther Allen.

By God’s grace, Tom has a passion for the local church and the advancement of the gospel, making disciples who are then equipped to make disciples. He has served in part-time pastoring positions at Edgely Christian Church in Bristol, Chelten Church in Dreshertown, and since 2006, Tom has served in a part–time capacity as teaching pastor at Riverstone Church in Yardley, PA. In addition, Tom also travels to do evangelistic preaching and training, as well as theological training, and camp and conference speaking.

Tom’s wife, Tammy, has taught in the public school system for 24 years, and together they love traveling, hiking, biking, and athletics. They also have enjoyed many years of vacationing and ministering at Church of the Open Bible in the Moosehead Lake area of Maine.
