Biography

Composer and jazz pianist Ron Thomas is recognized for the scope and breadth of his influences and interests. He began piano studies at six years old, continuing through High School with French pianist Marthe Motchane, former student of Alfred Cortot.

Ron has composed works across a broad spectrum of instruments including piano, drums, bass, trumpet, and soprano saxophone. He has also produced over 10 recordings of his music. Ron studied composition with Vittorio Gianinni, Nicolas Flagello, and Ludmila Ulehla, M.William Karlins, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Stefan Wolpe, and Raoul Pleskow.
