After last year’s sold-out success of The Sound of Music, Opera Theater is pleased to present another Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, South Pacific. Set in an island paradise during World War II, two parallel love stories are threatened by the dangers of prejudice and war. This winner of 10 Tonys and a Pulitzer Prize is packed with a cavalcade of popular songs: “Some Enchanted Evening,” “There Is Nothin’ Like a Dame,” “Bali Ha’i,” “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair,” “Younger Than Springtime,” and more.
