The event began on the Walkway with festivities such as a photo booth, horse-drawn carriage rides, the lighting of the Christmas tree, and Christmas card writing and cookie decorating stations. Every year, faculty and staff dust off their family recipes and bring in their favorite homemade cookies to share with the Cairn community. They are the perfect treat to wash down with the seemingly endless kettles of hot chocolate and apple cider.
Following the Starry Nite activities is the annual Christmas at Cairn concert. Sold out this year, the concert featured Cairn’s Handbell Choir, Chamber Singers, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Chorale, and soloists. To end the evening, families, students, and the local community joined in the final carol sing, with voices and instruments celebrating the joy of the Christmas season.
Merry Christmas, and God bless you in 2016!
