Introducing new programs
Cairn University introduces new undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Business, Divinity, and Music:

  • M.B.A. in International Entrepreneurship
  • M.A. in Religion and B.S. in Youth and Family Ministry (Dual-Level Degree)
  • B.S. in Intercultural Studies
  • Intercultural Studies Minor
  • B. Mus. in Worship and Music
  • B.S. in Bible and B. Mus. in Worship and Music (Double Degree)

The Cairn School of Business offers an M.B.A. with a focus on International Entrepreneurship which addresses globalization and entrepreneurship, and prepares students to do business in the changing environment. Students take courses in entrepreneurial finance, global business, and global economics, as well as core courses in leading and building effective organizations, legal environment of business, financial management, and operations and technology. The program is cohort-based, and includes domestic and international one-week residencies.
In 2013, the School of Divinity offered an M.A. in Religion. Now, students can enter into a Dual-Level Degree program, earning both a B.S. in Youth and Family Ministry and an M.A. in Religion. The School of Divinity also introduces a new major, a B.S. in Intercultural Studies. This program prepares students to work effectively in cross-cultural contexts within the United States and around the world, and to proclaim Christ in culturally appropriate ways. Students who are already committed to a major have the opportunity to earn a minor in Intercultural Studies.
Additionally, the School of Music also offers two new programs. The Bachelor of Music in Worship and Music is designed for those desiring to be involved in ministry in the local church as worship leaders. The program gives students a broad foundation in music theory, song writing, world music, jazz theory, worship band arranging, orchestration, music production, live audio, music history, literature, conducting, and the history of church music. In addition to these foundational courses, students study their applied instrument in private lessons, take part in music groups throughout their time at Cairn, and fulfill an internship in a local church. With an additional 14 credits, students can earn a double degree in Bible and in Worship and Music.
These degree programs are exciting new offerings as the University continues to expand its academic opportunities for students.
