Campus Life

As part of the University, each student becomes part of the Cairn family.  Often, students and professors study, share meals and fellowship, and become part of one another’s lives during their time together.  The campus is large enough to offer a broad cultural experience, and small enough to provide you with a supportive, community atmosphere.

Take a look at just some of the ways you can get involved!

Performing Arts

The performing arts provide students with a unique opportunity to be a part of a larger production, performed for faculty, staff, students, and the surrounding community.  Recent productions include Much Ado About Nothing, The Music of Irving Berlin, and Shadowlands.

Cairn also offers many different musical ensembles that students and members of the community are welcome to participate in.

Community Service

The University Ministry Center has created partnerships with several urban ministries in the Philadelphia area.  Students are encouraged to reach out to the surrounding community in response to a growing need for tangible resources and aid.   Through strategic relationships and the gathering of resources, our hope is to serve those in need, effecting change in the lives of the people living in our area.

Service projects include building and repairing homes, reading to children, cleaning city streets, painting murals, feeding the homeless, serving in recreation centers, and being an example of the love of Christ.

Student Life, Student Senate, the University Ministry Center, Health Services and Athletics are working in a variety of ways to keep the following service projects as ongoing, annual or semi-annual events:

  • Adopt a Highway (Business Route 1)
  • Lower Bucks County Red Cross Blood Drive
  • Martin Luther King Day of Service
  • Responding in community service as needed
(ex: Hurricane Irene cleanup in Vestal, NY and Bloomsburg, PA; Mill Creek Clean up in Penndel, PA)
